His friends quickly alerted the elders, who quickly showed up and hurried Sudarshan to the hospital. However, sources said that he was pronounced dead when he arrived.

Digital Desk: A 10-year-old boy tragically died from electrocution after touching a high-voltage line at Kaliabor in Assam's Nagaon district.

The kid who died, Sudarshan Bhuyan, was playing with friends close to his home when he came into contact with an exposed high-powered line and was electrocuted.

His friends quickly alerted the elders, who quickly showed up and hurried Sudarshan to the hospital. However, sources said that he was pronounced dead when he arrived.

It is to be noted that in another recent incident, a young person allegedly died from electrocution at Palashbari, which is part of Assam's Kamrup district while working on an electric pole.

Amar Das, who is from the Chaygaon neighbourhood of Gobardhan, has been named as the deceased.

The contractor who was appointed there, according to sources, had Amar working for him as a subordinate employee. An electrical breakdown that occurred while the repair was being done caused a sudden surge of electricity that instantaneously shocked and killed Amar. This is when the scenario took a sad turn.

Sadly, his dead body remained swinging from the pole for more than an hour before assistance could reach it. His premature death, according to the locals, was caused by the power supply not being shut off while he was working.
