Digital Desk: Morigaon police nabbed up to 20 people on Tuesday night for their involvement in cybercrime operations.

According to sources, police teams from the Laharighat and Moirabari police stations conducted late-night searches at 15 sites and made the arrests.

Several Aadhar cards, PAN cards, SIM cards, mobile phones, and a laptop were recovered during the operation.

A case has been filed against the apprehended people under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Additionally, it has been revealed that the two are acquaintances of another accused in the case, Rajen Sidana.

Those arrested are also suspected of running an illegal contact centre out of Subansiri Apartment in Guwahati's Bamunimaidam neighbourhood, which made news at the time.
