The inauguration will take place at Itanagar's State Legislative Assembly.

Digital Desk: As part of the endeavour, the Government of India has sanctioned 2,605 4G mobile towers worth Rs 2,675 crore to provide connection to more than 3,721 villages in Arunachal Pradesh.

In his speech on the 16th Civil Services Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated, "We consider the remotest border village to be the country's first village, not the last, and we will require sincere efforts and innovative means to achieve 100% saturation."

These 254 4G mobile towers will be dedicated to the nation on April 22, 2023, by Ashwini Vaishnaw, Minister for Communications, Railways, Electronics and IT; Kiren Rijiju, Minister for Law and Justice; Devusinh Chauhan, Minister of State for Communications; and Arunachal Chief Minister Pema Khandu, along with senior officials from the Central and State Governments.

The inauguration will take place at Itanagar's State Legislative Assembly.

The towers will deliver 4G coverage in previously unconnected communities, bringing digital access to 336 villages, including several locations that have been unconnected since independence. Over 70,000 users are likely to benefit, and monthly data usage is expected to exceed 40TB.

Arunachal Pradesh's access to high-speed network connectivity is being ensured through various schemes and projects such as the 'Comprehensive telecom development plan (CTDP-NER) for the North-Eastern Region,' the 'Provision of Mobile Services in Uncovered Villages of Arunachal Pradesh and 2 Districts of Assam,' and the 4G saturation project.

India is working tirelessly to ensure digital and mobile inclusion across the country, as well as the empowerment of ordinary residents, through the last mile digital revolution and the rapid proliferation of mobile and digital services.
