The development came a day after the ruling BJP unveiled its initial list of 39 candidates for the upcoming assembly elections...

Digital Desk: Madhya Pradesh BJP leader Samandar Patel, traveled from Neemuch district to the Congress headquarters in Bhopal with 5,000 supporters in a convoy of more than 1,200 vehicles.

On August 18, in the presence of former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Kamal Nath and ex-minister Jitu Patwari, BJP politician Samandar Patel, who is said to be close to Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, switched to the Congress.

The development came a day after the ruling BJP unveiled its initial list of 39 candidates for the upcoming assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh.

Patel made his comeback to Congress a week ago. He decided to enter the Congress with a "show of power," as he was accompanied by a convoy of his supporters.

It should be noted that Congress is attempting to employ the same strategy in Madhya Pradesh after finding electoral success in Karnataka, whether it be by giving away free things or accusing the BJP of being corrupt. Congress leaders declared that the party is committed to winning back seats in Madhya Pradesh. The BJP has also changed its strategy to counter the Congress's new line of attack.
