Priyadarshini stood out as the only gold medallist from Assam, making her victory even more significant
Digital Desk: On the occasion of Artist’s Day, a young girl from Kampur brought immense pride to Assam by shining on an international stage. Priyadarshini Baruah, a resident of Bhakat Gaon in Southpat Kampur, participated in the 15 th South Asia Yoga Championship at Kathmandu, Nepal, representing India. She played under-9 categoty, she won a gold medal and earned recognition not only for the nation but also for her home state and hometown.
Her remarkable achievement was celebrated warmly upon her return to Kampur. Various local organisations and residents gathered at Majmajia to felicitate her and acknowledge her exceptional accomplishment. Her victory was even more significant, when Priyadarshini became the only gold medallist of the seven countries that also took part in the event.
With her talent and determination, Priyadarshini hopes to continue excelling in yoga. She aspires to become a champion in the future and bring more laurels to her state and country.
