The incident occurred around 2 PM at the basement of the Silver Arcade Marketing Complex, Garchuk.
The victim was identified as Mriganka Barman, son of Anil Barman, a resident of Nalbari.
A police team led by the officer in charge of the Garchuk police station immediately rushed to the scene. The injured person was admitted to Excel Care Hospital for immediate treatment.
However, he succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
Initial investigation reveals a love triangle involving the victim, accused Raju Ali, and a woman.
Accused Raju Ali allegedly stabbed Mriganka with a knife and assaulted with a lathi. Both murder weapons have been seized by the police.
CCTV footage and technical surveillance quickly identified, tracked, and arrested the accused.
The shocking case was successfully detected within just 3 hours, showcasing the swift and effective response of the Garchuk police station.
