Digital Desk: An Assam Police team has arrived at the home of Indian Youth Congress (IYC) president Srinivas BV's uncle in Karnataka. After Ankita Dutta, former president of the Assam Youth Congress, filed a case against Srinivas, the Karnataka Police visited Srinivas's uncle's home in Basaveshwara Nagar, Bengaluru, in connection with this matter.
Assam's Joint Commissioner of Police, Prateek Thube, stated, "We have come here to investigate the matter." We had arrived at Srinivas's wife's place. We pasted the notice here because no one was present, and we are also sending the notice to his hometown. We've given him notice and requested him to appear before the investigating officer and help with the investigation.
Srinivas has been served with a notice under subsection (1) of Section 41(A) of the CrPC. Srinivas has been summoned to appear at the Dispur police station in Guwahati at 11 a.m. on May 2. He has been invited to join the investigation and fully cooperate. If he does not comply, he may be arrested under CrPC Sections 41A (3) and (4).
Speaking of the matter, Former Assam Youth Congress President Ankita Dutta has filed a mental harassment charge against the President of the Indian Youth Congress at the Dispur Police Station. She also stated that she had only one issue with the party. Dutta accused the leader of the Youth Congress of mental harassment and discrimination for the last six months.
