Aamir also mentioned how fortunate he has been with the women in his life, specifically mentioning his first wife, Reena Dutta, with whom he has two children, Ira and Junaid. Reena was also a producer on several Aamir Khan films, including 'Lagaan'.
"We made the big decision because we both respect each other and the institution of marriage. I recognise that our equation has perplexed many people. People find it difficult to comprehend. This is because such a bond is extremely rare," Aamir said.
Notably, through surrogacy Aamir and Kiran Rao had a child named Azad Rao Khan in 2011.
