 Digital Desk: In Madhya Pradesh's Alirajpur district, a 42-year-old man married his three live-in partners at the same occasion, according to tribal customs.

The six children he has with the three women also took part in the wedding procedures, with netizens uploading photographs of the marriage card, the groom and brides, and the festivities on social media.

Maurya, a former sarpanch of Nanpur village, about 400 kilometres from Bhopal, told PTI that he was engaged to his first partner in 2003 and that his two other partners had been living with him for the past 15 years.

According to villagers, Maurya married Naanbai, Mela, and Sakri in the same mandap for three days in accordance with tribal norms, with festivity featuring the playing of the 'dhol' and'maandal,' a tribal drum.
