actress Nora Fatehi has been called by the Delhi Police to appear before the
Economic Offences Wing today (Thursday) in connection with an extortion case
connected to conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar, following in the footsteps of Jacqueline
Fernandez.
Pinky Irani, who was allegedly paid in crores
to introduce Jacqueline to con artist Sukesh, was also questioned by the Delhi
Police on Wednesday.
Jacqueline and Pinky Irani will likely be
questioned again because the officials discovered contradictions in their
answers during the initial round of questioning. Also requested to appear
before the Delhi Police on Thursday is Pinky Irani.
Nora Fatehi, according to the Delhi Police,

"Pinky Irani is here, so tomorrow we
want to question both of them. There are some issues that require
clarification. Regarding this matter, Nora and Jacqueline don't have any direct
connections, "Ravindra Yadav, Special Commissioner of Police, EOW, spoke.
On September 2, Nora Fatehi was interrogated
by the police for approximately seven hours on the extortion case, and her
statement was recorded.
How Does Nora Fit Into This Case?
Police claim that Nora Fatehi received presents from
the con artist using the stolen money. She also took part in a Chennai event
that was connected to a criminal organization.
The police had earlier stated that there were
certain unanswered questions and that an inquiry was being conducted to
identify the ties and participants in the scheme.
Nora Fatehi claimed to the police that she was
unaware of any connections between the Chennai event where she was called and
this crime.
The actress Jacqueline Fernandez was named as
an accused in a charge sheet submitted on August 17 by the Enforcement
Directorate (ED), which is looking into the money trail in the extortion case
and has connections to Chandrashekar. Later, the ED questioned Nora Fatehi on
the same matter.
The ED claims that Chandrashekar gave
Jacqueline Fernandez and Nora Fatehi extravagant presents, including luxury
cars.
Conman Sukesh Chandrashekar, who is
currently incarcerated, is accused of defrauding a number of people, including
some well-known people like Aditi Singh, the wife of former Fortis Healthcare
promoter Shivinder Mohan Singh.
