Digital Desk: In a shocking incident, a man from Meghalaya was brutally murdered after his friend hit him with a wooden stick in Basistha, Guwahati.


This heart-wrenching incident occurred on July 25 and involved two drivers.


The victim, Mathew Lindu, hailed from Meghalaya's Jaintia Hills and worked as a driver.


On the night of the tragedy, Lindu was killed by another driver, Fidalin Dhar.


As per reports, the two had been drinking together before the incident.


A dispute arose between the two, escalating into violence.


In a horrifying turn of events, Fidalin brutally killed Lindu with a wooden stick.


Following an intensive operation, Basistha police tracked down and arrested Fidalin Dhar in Jowai on Saturday.
