The Home Minister will inaugurate a slew of development projects during his visit to the states.

Digital Desk: From Saturday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will come on a two-day visit to Arunachal Pradesh.

The Home Minister will inaugurate a slew of development projects during his visit to the states.

Reportedly, he will lay the foundation stone for a 51-foot statue of sage Parshuram in Wakro, Lohit district, and will launch 40 projects.

On Saturday, Shah will attend the Ramakrishna Mission School's Golden Jubilee festivities in Narottam Nagar, Deomali, Tirap district, before heading to Namsai to lay the foundation for the Parshuram statue.

Moreover, on Sunday, he will meet with social organisations and perform puja at the Golden Pagoda in Namsai district's Tengapani.

Shah will then address a public meeting on Namsai's general ground and announce major projects.

Reports further claimed that before leaving for Delhi, the home minister would chair a security and development review meeting with Army, ITBP, SSB, Assam Rifles, BRO, and National Highway Infrastructure Development Corporation LTD (NHIDCL) personnel at Namsai.

Notably, this will be the second trip of the Union Home Minister to the northeastern state. Earlier in February 2020, he visited Arunachal Pradesh for the 34th statehood day celebrations.
