The Aryan Khan drugs-on-cruise actually shows how people can be so heartless and how one's positive contribution for the society can be neglected.

Digital Desk: “I am very relieved and so must be my clients, including Shah Rukh Khan. Ultimately truth has prevailed” : Lawyer Mukul Rohatgi.

There was no material to charge this young man or arrest him. No drugs were found on him. I am happy that the NCB acted professionally in admitting their mistake,” added the lawyer.

Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Friday gave a clean chit to actor Shah Rukh Khan's son, Aryan, and five others, in the drugs-on-cruise case. But what important here is to reflect on what the Bollywood Superstar and his family went through during this phase when Aryan was in Jail for the Drug case.

While a humongous Celebrity figure like Shah Rukh Khan who has contributed immensely to Bollywood and led Bollywood cinemas to the global front, it only took a few moments to taint his image.

The Aryan Khan drugs-on-cruise actually shows how people can be so heartless and how one's positive contribution for the society can be neglected.

His contribution for the Hindi film industry is noteworthy and inspirational but at the time when he needed mental support the most, people from all the directions started spitting hate comments and began blaming his upbringing and backlashed his wife Gauri Khan labeling her “Drug Addict”.

The media comfortably ignored more important issues which needed attention and focused all the cameras on Aryan Khan and SRK. Media being the fourth pillar of democracy, every time, fails to play a neutral role and take sides to get more views. They used the stardom of the star as a weapon to gain TRP.

The political parties also kept no stone unturned in blaming the Badshaah and his family in the Aryan Khan case and polarized the matter in a wrong way. Many leaders misguided the mass  and gave a political perspective which imprinted a negative impression of the whole Khan familya amongst the people.

However some leaders put forth pertinent questions.

RJD leader Manoj Jha said Aryan Khan's arrest is getting exaggerated media coverage in comparison to the seizure of around 3,000 kg of drugs from Mundra port in Gujarat.

In light of the attention surrounding the arrest of Aryan Khan, senior Congress leader Shashi Tharoor on Monday said he is "repelled by the ghoulish epicaricacy" of those who are "witch-hunting" Shah Rukh Khan, and called for empathy towards the star's family's situation.

Shaaminder Malik, an expert on trade and entertainment matters, said that some brands and upcoming films of Khan will definitely bear the brunt of this incident. "Brands like Byju's, which is about education, will get trolled heavily. "His son's arrest has definitely created negative publicity for Shahrukh and might impact future films of the star, he added.

People across the social media platforms had different opinions. Though some supported Shahrukh Khan and Aryan Khan, majority expressed discontent on Aryan Khan's deed and blamed both Shahrukh and Gauri for not giving an eye on their son and ‘giving him too much freedom’. People taunt SRK and numerous hate comments were shared. Uncountable memes also poured in, regarding the matter and people kept on ‘putting salt on the wound’.

Many tweeted that Byju's "must immediately" drop him as brand ambassador.

SRK is too immersed in wealth accumulation and failed to bring up his boy well, one commented.

Another said,” Uska naam nahin ho raha hai, vah badnaam ho raha hai. Bap ka paisa uda raha hai”.

In a situation like this, where people take extreme steps, Shah Rukh Khan's decision to keep balance demeanor is laudable.

Though this judgement brings relief to the family but the damage to the mental well-being has already been done.
