Digital Desk: The Asian Games 2023 will be held in Hangzhou in September and October. To let you know, Cricket made it to the Asian Games in 2014, but the Indian team did not compete. However, this time around, India will be taking part.
The BCCI is planning to send the India B side to the competition as the main team prepares for the Asia Cup and the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. The team's participation in the continental event was recently confirmed by the regulatory organization.
Due to Asia Cup clashing with World Cup, the BCCI has stated that they will send a second-string Indian team, while a full-strength Women's team will be on the board for the tournament, with all the conjecture regarding the Indian squad for the Asian Games in 2023.
Notably, the BCCI will pick the Indian squad for the Asian Games in 2023. With Rahul Dravid expected to be a member of the main team, rumours say that VVS Laxman will be the team's coach. The men's competition begins on September 28, while the women's tournament will kick-start on September 19.
