Guwahati: Assam reported 251 fresh covid-19 cases on Thursday, taking the active caseload to 1,914. The positivity rate now stands at 0.63 percent.
The total number of covid-19 tests conducted in the last 24 hours was 39,898.

Reportedly, seven people have succumbed to covid-19 on Thursday, while 262 were recovered and discharged.
As per the official report, deaths were recorded from Bishwanath, Kamrup (Metro), Dibrugarh, Jorhat, Nagaon, Nalbari and Sivasagar.
The district with the highest number of covid cases has been reported from Kamrup (Metro)-130, Lakhimpur- 15, Sivasagar- 14 and Kamrup (Rural) - 12.
The total number of recoveries of the state has reached 6, 04, 009 with a recovery rate of 98.48 percent.
