Assam University, Silchar's professor Debashish Bhattacharya and his family went on a trip to J&K. They visited Pahalgam on Tuesday, April 22, when the ghastly terrorist attack took place at the popular tourist destination. 

Digital Desk: A family from Assam's Silchar has come back from the brink of death after they survived the harrowing terror attack in the Baisaran Valley of Pahalgam district of Jammu & Kashmir (J&K) on Tuesday. 

Assam University, Silchar's professor Debashish Bhattacharya and his family went on a trip to J&K. They visited Pahalgam on Tuesday, April 22, when the ghastly terrorist attack took place at the popular tourist destination. 

The family saved their lives lying under a tree near the spot. 

Security agencies have released photos of the terrorists involved in the Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed 28 lives on Tuesday.  

As per PTI, the terrorists used code name "Moosa, Yunus and Asif."

In a heavy exchange of fire between security forces and terrorists in Uri Nala, Baramulla district, two terrorists had been gunned down on Wednesday morning. 

Large quantities of weapons, arms and ammunition, and war-like stores were recovered from the terrorists.

The Resistance Front, a local offshoot of Pakistan-based militant group Lashkar-e-Taiba, claimed responsibility for the deadly attack.
