Sarma had requested financial assistance from the state's Chief minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma for his medical care.

Digital Desk: The well-known flute player of Assam, Dipak Sarma has been reportedly admitted to the Max Hospital in New Delhi for liver transplantation.

After all his examinations were completed on Saturday, the flutist was admitted to the hospital, reports said.
Meanwhile, according to sources, Dipak Sarma's wife will donate her organs to save the flutist's life.

Sarma expressed his regret at being unable to perform this Bihu season for the people of Assam. He did, however, promise to get better very soon and meet everyone the next Bihu.

It should be noted that the renowned flute player felt severely ill in January of this year and was sent to the Dispur Hospital in Guwahati. According to the hospital's medical staff, Sarma was receiving treatment for multi-organ failure.

Sarma had requested financial assistance from the state's Chief minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma for his medical care.

Sarma stated of his condition, "I had tested positive for Covid-19 previously. I also had dengue, and the doctors told me that when I was receiving therapy for that, I had other internal issues. My liver also has a spot that the specialists have found."




It is to be noted that Assam Minister Pijush Hazarika went to the Dispur Hospital to check Dipak Sarma's health. Also, the minister gave Sarma a check for Rs. 1 lakh from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund.
