While mushroom poisoning is uncommon, it is critical to use caution when eating mushrooms, especially those collected in the wild.

Digital Desk: Two individuals died in Merapani, a town in Assam's Golaghat district, after swallowing deadly mushrooms on Friday.

The incident happened after thirteen people from five households ate the mushrooms, resulting in serious health consequences for those involved. The event was brought to light on Thursday when one of the thirteen people who took the mushrooms died.

Prafulla Barman, one of the victims, died while being treated, according to local sources. Unfortunately, another victim died today, bringing the total to two. The remaining 10 people who swallowed the mushrooms are currently being treated in hospitals in Golaghat and Jorhat.

Poisonous mushrooms can cause serious health problems, and in some circumstances, they can be lethal. While mushroom poisoning is uncommon, it is critical to use caution when eating mushrooms, especially those collected in the wild.
