Digital Desk: On August 19, a Lat Mandal was taken into custody in Guwahati by the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption detectives on graft-related (Corruptive form) accusations.
The accused has been identified as Achyut Das, Lat Mandal of the Revenue Circle office in Guwahati, Kamrup (Metro).
The anti-corruption cell posted on the X account, saying, "Today @DIR_VAC_ASSAM trapped red-handed Achyut Das, Lot Mandal in the O/O Circle Officer Guwahati, Kamrup (Metro), immediately after he accepted a bribe for processing mutation works of the complainant."
On August 17, the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption's detectives detained Lat Mandal in Nalbari, Assam, on suspicion of corruption.
Debashish Barman at Tihu Revenue Circle has been identified as the Lat Mandal, and he was arrested for soliciting bribes and collecting them through Nayan Barman, a broker.
The broker, who is believed to be the proprietor of a computer shop, was also detained by the anti-corruption team.
