Guwahati: The Assam government announced to appoint 767 candidates in the education department, Education Minister Ranoj Pegu announced.


However, the Madrassa TET qualifiers will be exempted from the appointment.


The Education Minister Pegu said, “767 candidates will be appointed in the new government jobs today.”


Reportedly, today, the Education Department will give the appointment letter to the general TET qualifiers.”


In connection to the caste discrimination incident reported in some colleges, Minister Pegu asserted that the colleges should not shelter such racism and caste discrimination in their admission process.
