Digital Desk: On Saturday, sanction letters were issued to over 30 tea gardens as part of the second phase of the Assam government's tea tourism development scheme. Tourism Minister Jayanta Mallabaruah, who distributed the letters, emphasized that the scheme aims to boost tea tourism in the state.
'Today, I had the pleasure of distributing sanction letters to 34 selected tea gardens under Phase II of the Assam Tea Tourism Development Scheme,' he posted on X.
He described the initiative as a major step toward elevating Assam's tea heritage into a premier global tourism destination.
