Digital Desk: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Tuesday announced that Assam will be joining hands with Nagaland as a partner state for the upcoming Hornbill festival.

Taking to X, CM Sarma wrote, “Hon’ble Chief Minister, it is an absolute privilege for Assam to join hands with Nagaland for the upcoming Hornbill Festival. This festival has emerged as one of the greatest platforms to showcase the shared cultural heritage of North East”.

Through traditional music, dancing, and performances, the Hornbill Festival, an annual great celebration in Nagaland, Northeast India, beautifully depicts Naga culture.

Several tribes from Nagaland contributed to the event, which received recognition for its engaging performances. Each tribe adds to the festival's enthusiasm and entertainment value.

The celebration is unique because it brings people together around a shared objective. Visitors from all around the world are drawn to the festival, which gives them a deeper understanding of Naga culture.
