As pressure mounted on Sangma's government in Meghalaya to reassess the interstate boundary settlement, Sangma stated that his government had discussed it with all coalition members and had shared the information.
Digital Desk: Chief Ministers of Assam and Meghalaya will meet the Union Home Minister Amit Shah on March 29 to sign an agreement to end the long-pending border issue. Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma notified it after receiving an official communication from the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA). "I have received official notification that the honourable Home Minister has set a date for March 29 at 4:30 p.m. This communication has been received from MHA Secretary Piyush Goyal; all preparations for the day have been made, " Sangma confirmed. "It is always our effort to see how we can come up with a solution and make sure that all concerns are addressed, but there will always be a limitation. We have gone through a lot of training in the last six months, so we may not be able to fix all of the issues, but we will always try to resolve as many as we can," he added. Previously, Sangma informed in the state Assembly budget session that the settlement to fix the six points of disagreement between Assam and Meghalaya would be signed in New Delhi on March 27.
