Digital Desk: Another suspect in the Assam Police recruitment scam case surrendered to the Crime Investigation Department (CID) on Wednesday.

Reportedly, Ajijur Rahman, a resident of Dhing in Assam's Nagaon district, arrived at the CID office today to confess before the officials.

Rahman had received an appointment in the Assam Police Department on September 23 after submitting forged documents.

Rahman was arrested by the Assam Police CID branch shortly after he confessed about the crime.

Meanwhile, this arrest brings the total number of people arrested in connection with the case to 22.

Furthermore, the CID's custody of the 21 accused who had earlier been arrested ended today.

All 21 accused were then produced before the court. It should be noted that other suspects in the case who are accused of submitting forged documents during the Assam Police recruiting procedure are still at large.
