Digital Desk: The mortal remain of an Assam soldier, Mahendra Laskar, who was martyred in an IED blast in Jharkhand, have been brought to his residence in Kampur Kuwariati village.
As the remains of the brave soldier arrived at his home, a wave of grief swept through entire region, leaving the community in mourning.
CRPF personnel paid their heartfelt respects by organising a rally with the soldier's mortal remains. Various groups, organisations, and family members joined together to offer their final tributes to the martyr.
Mahendra Laskar lost his life in an IED blast that occurred on October 10 in the Saibasa range area of Jharkhand.
The blast took place while a group of about 12 personnel from the CRPF's 60 Battalion was conducting a patrol in the area.
The explosion claimed Laskar's life on the spot and left several other soldiers injured.
The community has expressed deep condolences to the family of the martyr, who laid down his life to protect the motherland.
His mother, wife, children, and entire family have been left heartbroken and inconsolable by this tragic loss.
