Digital Desk: The people of HSR layout in Bengaluru carried a 75-meter-long Indian flag as they marched on Sunday morning as part of the "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav" campaign to commemorate the nation's 75th anniversary of independence.

The locals travelled three kilometres on foot from Somasundarapalya Lake to Haralur Lake. On Sunday morning, more than 100 people took part in a walkathon while carrying the tricolour flag and yelling "Jai Hind" and "Bharat Mata ki Jai." Children and senior folks could be spotted taking part in the walkathon.

"What can be more lovely than this...walking over 3 kilometres with a 75 mts Tri-Color banner honouring #IndiaAt75 #AmrutaMahotsav," the citizens' organisation wrote on Twitter. Congratulations to HSR, Somasundarapalya, and the Haraluru Citizen Group! (Sic)"
