Digital Desk: A man in Madhya Pradesh's Rajgarh district shot and killed his wife in order to steal her insurance money by taking ideas from online videos to pay off his debts. The accused husband, identified as Badriprasad Meena, has been arrested.

The accused used the internet to help in committing the crime. He watched a number of online videos to find a way to pay off his debts. After seeing a few films, he first insured his wife before killing her to collect the insurance money.

The husband shot the wife, Pooja, on July 26 at about 9 o'clock near Mana Jod on the Bhopal Road. During her hospital treatment, she passed away.

The husband initially attempted to mislead the police but was caught after a thorough investigation. The accused filed an FIR against four persons after killing his wife, accusing them of killing him.

Another detailed search, however, showed that those four individuals were absent from the crime scene when the murder occurred.

While two of Badriprasad Meena's colleagues are still at large, the police have detained him and one of them.
