Before flagging off the rally, the VC said, "I strongly believe cycling is an extremely good exercise." 

Digital Desk: Vice Chancellor of Cotton University, Prof. B C Goswami, in the presence of Longnit Terang (APS), Assistant Inspector General of Police (Law and Order), flagged off a bicycle rally organised jointly by Cotton Cycling Community, Cotton University Students’ Union (CUSU) and Cotton University NSS Unit in collaboration with Guwahati Smart City Limited here today. 



Before flagging off the rally, the VC said, "I strongly believe cycling is an extremely good exercise." It keeps us healthy and fit. Moreover, it is good for the environment. I am a cycling enthusiast. Those who can manage, should try and commute by cycle to college, schools, or offices and become the ambassadors of the green revolution”.

The rally began around 6 a.m. on the university campus to encourage people to take up cycling not only for fitness but also for daily commuting. Around 60 participants, including the VC, Terang, NSS volunteers, students, faculty members, sports officers, and other members, took part in the rally. After winding up the rally at the starting point, all participants were provided with refreshments by the University authorities.
