Digital Desk: Two daylight robberies occurred in the city, with the same tactic of stealing gold necklaces from women at gunpoint on Monday. At the first incidence, a woman named Tutumoni Rabha was robbed of her gold jewellery at gunpoint by two motorcycle-riding miscreants in Pragati Nagar in Satgaon here. According to police sources, the woman was strolling down the street when she was robbed. When she raised the alarm, one of the miscreants threatened her with a county-made pistol and fled the scene.

In the second instance, a woman named Gultaj Begum was robbed of her gold chain by two motorcycle-riding miscreants in Gandhibasti. According to police sources, one of the thieves threatened an autorickshaw driver with a weapon when the latter attempted to assist Gultaj Begum.
