Digital Desk: A shocking murder took place in broad daylight at Dhola Miri Pathar in the Tinsukia district, where a man allegedly killed his sister-in-law following a family dispute.
The accused, identified as Rajnikant Dutta, also known as Phutu, reportedly strangled Anjana Dutta to death using a machete.
After committing the heinous act, Rajnikant surrendered himself at the Dhola Police Station.
Police are currently investigating the crime scene and gathering evidence.
Meanwhile, Anjana Dutta's body has been sent to Makum for a post-mortem examination.
The incident has sparked widespread unrest and concern among residents in the area.
