  • The Chandrapur area has increasingly become a hotspot for drug abuse

Digital Desk: The Chandrapur area has increasingly become a hotspot for drug abuse.

Drug consumption or substance abuse is occurring openly in several locations, including near the railway station, along the banks of the Brahmaputra River, and within the abandoned residential quarters of defunct factories in the region.

Groups of young individuals have been observed openly using marijuana and other substances in these areas.

In one such incident, three young men were caught on camera consuming drugs with syringes.

The footage, recorded on a mobile phone by another individual, shows three youths from the Nizarapara locality of Chandrapur engaging in drug abuse.

The video has gone viral among local residents, sparking widespread concern within the community.

Unfortunately, this incident highlights just one example of the rampant and unchecked drug trade thriving in the Chandrapur area.
