Digital Desk: The foundation stone for the Goreswar flyover was laid on Monday, following an announcement by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.


The ceremony was formally inaugurated by BTC Chief Hagrama Mohilary, with Assam Legislative Assembly Biswajit Daimary and Minister Jayanta Malla Baruah in attendance.


The flyover, to be built in Goreswar at an estimated cost of Rs 136 crore, aims to significantly improve traffic movement and connectivity in the region.


A public meeting was also held on the occasion, during which Speaker Biswajit Daimary and Minister Jayanta Malla Baruah addressed the gathering.


Minister Jayanta Malla Baruah announced that the list of BJP candidates will be released within a week.


He also confirmed that the BJP and BPF would jointly contest all 15 seats in the BTC region during the upcoming elections.


Meanwhile, Speaker Biswajit Daimary shared that his constituency for the upcoming elections has not yet been finalised.
