Digital Desk: A tragic incident has come to light where a young man from Assam was allegedly killed by his own friend while both were working in Hyderabad.The deceased has been identified as 27-year-old Bikram Das, son of Nikhil Das, a resident of Miribali Das village under Howraghat. Bikram had travelled to Hyderabad in search of work along with his friend.


According to family members, the incident occurred on 4thMarch , while the two friends were celebrating Holi. During the celebrations, Bikram reportedly got into an argument with his roommate and friend, Pritam Das, over applying colours.


The family alleges that the argument soon turned violent, and Pritam allegedly attacked Vikram, leaving him with a severe neck injury. Bikram was admitted to a local hospital in Hyderabad for treatment.


It is further alleged that the accused later arranged an ambulance, promising to take Bikram to Guwahati for better medical care. However, Bikram succumbed to his injuries on the way to Guwahati.


Meanwhile, Pritam’s mobile phone has reportedly been switched off, and he has not been cooperating with Bikram’s family. The victim’s body reached Howraghat on Monday morning, after which the family approached Howraghat Police Station seeking justice.


Police have registered a complaint and sent the body to Diphu for post-mortem examination as further investigation into the case continues.
