Guwahati: Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma stated that the cabinet would not expand for the next one year.

CM Sarma has also said that all pending projects will be completed at the earliest to settle the water issues in Guwahati. The completion of the water project works will implement a smooth lifestyle for people in the city. 

As per reports, severe water crisis has hit a vast area of Gauhati for a long time. Expressing concern over the problems, Sarma stated that the project works would be completed as soon as possible.

There were certain remarks made upon the context of the corporation list by Assam CM Sarma. Sarma stated that all corporations must work efficiently by providing good pay to the employees.

He further said there would be no change in the context of the expansion of the cabinet following the bypolls for a year. He noted that currently, a good cabinet team is working for the development of the state. 

The expansion of the cabinet will only be given a thought after the course of the next one year.
