Digital Desk: Ahead of the Assam elections, a fresh cash seizure has been reported during a strict checking operation carried out by Basistha Police at Jorabat.
During the (police checking) naka checking, police recovered Rs4 lakh in cash, bundled in packets, from a scooter rider who was allegedly transporting the money.
The seized cash has been handed over to the Flying Squad for further investigation. Police have launched a probe, and the source of the money is yet to be ascertained.
