Digital Desk: Today, Himanta Biswa Sarma has announced that the results of the Higher Secondary (HS) examinations will be declared after 20th April.

According to the Chief Minister, while the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) or matriculation results will be declared before the Rongali Bihu festival, the HS (Higher Secondary) results will be released only after the festivities.

The announcement was made during an election campaign event, when the Chief Minister responded to queries from students regarding the result declaration timeline. He clarified that the official declaration of HS final examination results will take place after 20th April.

It is worth noting that there were earlier expectations that both HSLC and HS results would be declared before Bihu, especially with the matric results scheduled for 10th April. However, the Chief Minister has now confirmed that the HS results will be announced after Bihu.

Meanwhile, the Assam State School Education Board has reportedly completed most of the preparations for the result declaration.

This year, around 3.3 lakh students appeared for the HS examinations across 821 centres in all four streams. The exams were conducted from February 11 to March 16.
