Digital Desk: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) summoned Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national chief Arvind Kejriwal on Friday for interrogation in the Delhi excise policy case. In connection with the case, CM Kejriwal will be interrogated by CBI officials on April 16. Former Delhi deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia is being held in ED custody in connection with the same now-cancelled Delhi liquor policy.

The Delhi Chief Minister has been summoned to the CBI headquarters at 11 a.m. on Sunday to answer questions from the investigation team, according to agency officials. In connection with the case, the CBI has already arrested Kejriwal's former deputy and AAP leader Manish Sisodia.

The agency has accused the Delhi government of committing irregularities in the implementation of its excise policy for 2021-22. It says that in obtaining liquor dealer licenses, certain dealers who purportedly provided bribes were given preferential treatment. The charges have been explicitly rejected by AAP.
