Digital Desk: To commemorate the 132nd birthday of the architect of the Indian Constitution, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will unveil a 125-foot-tall bronze statue of BR Ambedkar in Hyderabad on Friday. Ambedkar's statue in Hyderabad is the highest one in the country.

Plans have been made to ensure that more than 35,000 individuals from all 119 constituencies attend the unveiling ceremony, which will be held on a spectacular scale. Up to 750 state-owned Road Transport Corporation buses will be run for the general public.

Along the banks of Hyderabad's well-known Hussain Sagar Lake, close to the State Secretariat, is the statue.

KCR recently met with his ministers and other officials to discuss the statue's inauguration. A helicopter would then drop flower petals on the statue, according to a report from PTI.
Prakash Ambedkar, Ambedkar's grandson, will be the event's lone chief guest.

For those who arrive at the assembly complex within 50 kilometres of Hyderabad, food will also be provided. The general population would have access to 1 lakh sweet packets, 1.5 lakh butter milk packets, and 1 lakh water packets.

KCR has already lauded Ram Vanji Sutar, a 98-year-old sculptor, for putting a lot of work into the statue. Sutar, a recipient of the Padma Bhushan award, will be welcomed by the government.
