Authorities are yet to clear the vehicle and restore normal movement on the route
Digital Desk: A serious accident occurred in Chirang's Bortolowa when a container truck carrying coal overturned on NH 27. The truck, coming from Guwahati to Bihar, lost balance and skidded off the road near Jamatola under the Kajalgaon Police Station belt.
Luckily, the driver survived by the skin of his teeth. People from the area flocked to the scene and took the injured driver to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Due to the accident, the link road between Jamatola and Barpathar has been shut down completely, seriously affecting the traffic in that area. The authorities have not cleared the vehicle and opened the road for normal traffic yet.
Additional news is awaited as authorities start clearing operations and gauge the extent of damage and the possible reasons behind the accident.
