As per Congress national secretary and principal spokesperson Randeep Surjewala, Sonia Gandhi is stable and will be in the hospital for a few days.


Digital Desk: Sonia Gandhi, the Congress chief, was admitted to the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital on Sunday for post-Covid symptoms.


According to Congress national secretary and principal spokesperson Randeep Surjewala, Gandhi is stable and will be in the hospital for a few days.


"Sonia Gandhi, the Congress President, was admitted to Ganga Ram Hospital today for Covid-related ailments. She is in stable condition and will be monitored at the hospital, "Surjewala said on Twitter.


"We appreciate all of the Congressmen and ladies, as well as all of the well-wishers," he continued.


According to hospital sources, Gandhi had previously attended the hospital for a normal medical check-up and was being checked by doctors.


Gandhi, now aged 75, had recovered after testing positive for COVID-19 on June 2. She was scheduled to appear before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on June 8. Still, She requested an extension from the investigation agency, which issued a new summons for her on June 23.


In connection with the National Herald-AJL issue, the ED has filed an FIR in a money-laundering case.
