Digital Desk: The construction of the Gauhati High Court at Rangmahal, North Guwahati, is set to begin shortly.  


Within the next days, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of India, along with Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, will attend the ceremonial Bhoomi Pujan to mark the commencement of the project.


The Chief Justice of the Gauhati High Court and the administration have already inspected and finalised the site for the Bhoomi Pujan ceremony.


The High Court, administrative buildings, Bar Association, and Judicial Township will be developed across 129 bighas of land in Rangmahal, North Guwahati.


The Assam Cabinet has approved a budget of approximately Rs 500 crore for the construction of the Gauhati High Court.


The residents of North Guwahati have warmly welcomed the establishment of the High Court in their locality.
