Digital Desk: On the night of 2nd April , a group of students from Cotton University allegedly misbehaved with and harassed a CISF jawan at Paltan Bazar Railway Station.


As per reports, the students, reportedly from a university hostel, confronted the on-duty CISF personnel and demanded his Aadhaar and PAN cards, leading to a heated altercation.


The situation escalated when the students allegedly attempted to physically assault the jawan, who was on his way to Kamakhya Temple.


The incident reportedly took place under the leadership of Kuldip Goutam Sharma, a Cotton University student and an AASU leader.


Police later arrived at the scene and rescued the CISF personnel from the group of unruly students.
