Ibrahim Ali was allegedly involved in selling OTPs to criminals operating outside the state, enabling them to loot lakhs of rupees through cyber fraud


Digital Desk: The Moirabari police, in coordination with the Morigaon district police, have arrested a notorious cyber criminal involved in large-scale OTP fraud operations. A team from Bhopal Police carried out the arrest late last night from Gunaibori village under Lahirighat circle.


The arrested person has been identified as Ibrahim Ali. He was wanted in connection with Bhopal Police case number 216/2025, registered under Sections 308(2), 318(4), 319(2), 336(3), and 340(2) of the law.


According to police sources, Ibrahim Ali was allegedly involved in selling OTPs to criminals operating outside the state, enabling them to loot lakhs of rupees through cyber fraud. During the operation, police seized around  89 SIM cards used in cybercrime activities, three  cell phones, and a private bank’s QR code from his possession.


Following his arrest, Ibrahim Ali has been taken into the custody of Bhopal Police for further investigation. Police believe more details about the wider cybercrime network may emerge during interrogation.
