Digital Desk: A shocking incident unfolded in Ganeshpara, a busting area of Guwahati, where a dramatic robbery took place at the residence of businessman Anil Deka.
The heist, executed in a cinematic style, lasted merely 40 minutes. Four robbers arrived in a white Swift car, their faces were covered with black cloths to hide their identities.
Taking advantage of the absence of other family members, they launched a brutal attack on Anil Deka's wife, Karabi Deka, and their car driver.
Armed with pistols and daggers, the assailants threatened and assaulted the victims before fleeing with cash, gold, and other valuable items.
At the time of the incident, Anil Deka was not at home as he was accompanying his daughter, who is studying abroad.
The robbers reportedly held a pistol at Karabi Deka's face and inflicted injuries with a dagger while ransacking the house.
The entire incident was captured on CCTV cameras installed in the residence.
Fatasil police promptly arrived at the scene following the robbery and have initiated an investigation.
The shocking nature of the crime has left the entire community in a state of panic and unrest.
