IMD predicts isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall over Andhra Pradesh's coastal regions on...

Digital Desk: A low-pressure region in the Bay of Bengal and the South Andaman Sea may build into a cyclone and make landfall in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh on December 4, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

According to the Met Department, the low-pressure region will likely move northwest, form a depression over the Bay of Bengal, and build into a cyclonic storm 'Miachaung' on December 3.

While the Andaman and Nicobar Islands would have isolated heavy rainfall on December 1, coastal portions of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry would experience isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall from December 2 to December 4.

Similarly, the IMD predicts isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall over Andhra Pradesh's coastal regions on December 3 and 4.

The IMD has advised fishermen not to fish in the southeast Bay of Bengal until December 2, the southwest Bay of Bengal until December 4, and the west-central Bay of Bengal until December 5.
