Two bodies were found earlier today. According to PTI, which cited a police official, both of the deceased were women.

Two women's bodies were found at the Irshalwadi landslide site on Saturday morning, according to a National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) source quoted by PTI.

At the landslide site, which is situated in a hilly area, teams from the NDRF and other government organisations continued their search and rescue efforts in the morning. The search operation is on its third day.

On Wednesday night, a massive landslide hit Irshalwadi, a tribal village situated on a hillside in the coastal area, around 80 km from Mumbai. At least 17 of the village's 48 homes were totally or partially buried by the landslide debris.

The village, which is a famous trekking destination and is overlooked by Irshalgad fort, has no pucca road, making it difficult to deploy earth movers and excavators. As a result, the rescue effort is being carried out by hand, according to officials.
