Digital Desk: Debajit Gogoi has been appointed as the new Executive Director and chief of the Mathura Refinery, an official informed on Wednesday. 

Reportedly, Gogoi has replaced Asis Kumar Maiti, who retired as chief and Executive Director of the Mathura refinery on July 31.

Before joining his new position, Gogoi was Chief General Manager (Technical) and Executive Director (Technical) at Mathura Refinery for one and a half years.

Gogoi has more than three decades of experience in machinery specification, procurement, erection, and maintenance of plant and equipment, as well as other refinery processes. He received his degree in mechanical engineering from Jorhat Engineering College, Dibrugarh University.

The official added that he had worked in various capacities at the Bongaigaon Refinery.
