When the judge and the police reached the building, they discovered the flat was locked from the outside.

Digital Desk: The wife of a local court judge was found hanging from a ceiling fan at her brother's residence in South Delhi, police said on Sunday.

Moreover, the police said that three suicide notes were found in the flat in Rajpur Khurd Extension. The Saket court judge informed the police around 10.30 p.m. on Saturday that his wife had gone to the Malviya Nagar market at around 11.30 a.m. but had not returned.

According to a senior police official, he filed a missing complaint at the Saket police station, and an inquiry was conducted.

The 42-year-old lady was found boarding an auto-rickshaw after police reviewed CCTV footage. The auto-rickshaw driver told the police that he had dropped the judge's wife off at Rajpur Khurd during an investigation.

According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Benita Mary Jaiker, the officer shared this information with the judge, who confirmed that his brother-in-law lived there.

When the judge and the police reached the building, they discovered the flat was locked from the outside. The woman was found hanging from the ceiling fan with a 'dupatta' after the cops broke the iron grills of the flat, according to the DCP.

"It was a first-floor flat that was empty. The household of her brother lives on the second level. There were also three suicide notes discovered. The body has been moved to the mortuary at AIIMS", the official said.

It may be mentioned that legal action has been initiated into the matter, and further investigation is underway.
