The CBI claims that the AAP leader was arrested because he did not cooperate with the investigation despite being confronted with evidence and giving evasive answers.

Digital Desk: In connection with the liquor policy case, Manish Sisodia, a former deputy chief minister of Delhi, has been placed in 14-day judicial prison. The CBI has had the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader in its custody for the past week since his detention. Sisodia will be kept in the Tihar prison.

Sisodia was detained concerning allegations of corruption in the creation and execution of the now-cancelled 2021–22 liquor policy.

"The same inquiries are made of me all day long, from sunrise to night. I feel like I'm being mentally abused "Sisodia had made a statement not long after his CBI detention was prolonged by two days. He was brought before special judge MK Nagpal on Monday after the court-authorized seven-day period of incarceration and questioning was up.

The CBI claims that the AAP leader was arrested because he did not cooperate with the investigation despite being confronted with evidence and giving evasive answers.

In the interim, Sisodia also submitted a bail application to a Delhi court, which will be heard on March 10. The CBI has been asked by the court to submit a response.

Sisodia claimed that because all of the recoveries in the case had already been made, keeping him in detention would be useless.
