Upon landing in Amritsar, an emergency medical team immediately boarded the aircraft to attend to distressed passengers

Digital Desk: Due to severe weather problems early on Sunday in Delhi led to the diversion of multiple flights to Amritsar, creating chaos at the airport and distress among passengers.  Flight 6E-2335 IndiGo from Bengaluru to Delhi, which was scheduled to land at the Airport around 2:00 AM

According to sources, shortly before landing, the plane met heavy turbulence and the pilots were forced to abort the attempt. After landing, the flight was stabilized and redirected toward Amritsar.

Those inside the airplane reported feeling tremors and experiencing strong jolts, causing panic among them. As soon as the plane arrived in Amritsar, an emergency medical team came on board to treat those in need. Fortunately, no one was seriously hurt in the incident.

Things at Amritsar Airport became chaotic quickly because several flights were suddenly diverted to the airport. With exhausted passengers demanding information and onward travel arrangements, airport staff and airline crews struggled to manage the sudden influx.

Together with other airlines, IndiGo continued to inform passengers about the situation and the actions taken to avoid more delays.

Authorities are examining what happened, mainly looking at how the weather negatively influenced the safety and efficiency of the plane’s operations. Meanwhile, Delhi remains subject to weather clearance, as officials continue to monitor conditions closely.
